Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative (EIEC) is a member-owned utility that serves electricity to the last-mile residents of rural, east central Illinois.
EIEC is governed by a nine member board of directors. The board is made up of actual co-op members, and each represents one of nine geographical board districts.
The board sets co-op policies and is responsible for the fiscal management of the co-op. The board then hires a President/CEO to manage the employees of the cooperative and to oversee the implementation of board policies.
EIEC is a member of the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
Our driving documents include the cooperative bylaws and our regulations.
